My spiritual walk - Lost and mistakes made

In my twenties it is the time to experiment, have a lot of boyfriends and enjoy your life.

I also opened the door to bad things, things which should never have entered my life.

The scripture that comes to mind , Proverbs 5:6 - "She gives no thought to the way of life;
    her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it."

This was so true for me and where I was heading.... My story is to encourage others heading in that direction or none the wiser that God can come and rescue us in our time of need.

My story goes like this:

I met and made friends with quite a few guys online, they stayed a distance from me. Intentionally I made friends with them in the hope that when I visited the place they live in, I might go on dates with them.

Well I did go on holiday and arranged a date with a guy. We were going to meet at a casino. Well when that evening came I could not go with my friends( Luckily I wasn't going alone).So I cancelled.

At midnight I was awoken by that same guys phone number, so I answered and it was HIS WIFE! Asking who I was and why my number was on her husbands phone. YIKES!!

Was that a wake up call for me! I used to ignore the feeling that my spirit wasn't right with this person and it wasn't right what I was doing.

Well I ended up on the phone with his wife, who was at her wits end with her husband, for at least half an hour listening and encouraging her( which is the good thing that came out of this)

When I hung up on her finally, I thought to myself the last thing I want to be is a HOMEBREAKER.

Things can sneak into our lives and make us wander for a bit, but thank goodness the Lord is ready to step in when we ask him to and lead us out of the pit we created.

Proverbs 4:25-27

    Let your eyes look straight ahead;
    fix your gaze directly before you.
26 Give careful thought to the[c] paths for your feet
    and be steadfast in all your ways.
27 Do not turn to the right or the left;
    keep your foot from evil.

Prayer: Thank you Lord that you make a way, even when there seems to be no way.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Yep, I said it and its true. The one day in the entire year that girls go weak in the knees and guys go madly in love. Honestly in real life I don't see that happening often enough, like in the movies. I would rather be in the real life and the here and now. So I guess I won't be be getting a valentine, but that's ok. I have a relationship with my Father in Heaven that makes it all worth it. I can draw on my relationship with God to: Strengthen me; When I am lonely to encourage me; Lift me up in times of weakness; Love me with an everlasting love there is so much more, but I would be getting carried away. Companionship with a man is a good thing to have as it is written in Genesis, God said,"It is not good for man to be alone, let us create a companion for him". It is no use being in a relationship with a guy hoping he will complete you, he could never do that, only God can come into your life and complete you! A relationship with God is KEY! You
